On Second Thought: Revisited

I have read many fictional books, and seen many movies which centered around intrigue, hand to hand fighting, large scale battles, etc. Besides being exciting, they have given me a greater understanding of the terminology used, and enabled me to better picture the historical battles documented in The Old Testament.

However, I am currently reading the book:

Entebbe - A Defining Moment in the War on Terrorism by Iddo Netanyahu, and it is taking me a step further. It is an account of the daring rescue of over 100 hostages who were being held by terrorists in Uganda on July 4th, 1976. The book was compiled based on eyewitness accounts of those who were involved in the planning and carrying out of the rescue, and in particular, it gives the reader a chance to "get to know" the man whose leadership skills made the whole thing possible. Yoni Netanyahu (the author's brother) was the commander of the mission, and before the book is through, you realize that, just as God makes musicians, artists, writers, mechanics, and preachers, He also makes warriors. There is a difference between when you read about a man who is skilled in battle, who came out of some author's head, and when the person really walked this earth and faced his enemies without benefit of a script-writer making sure nothing happens to the star.
